This website uses Google Analytics, a website analysis service by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called"cookies", text files that are stored on your computer to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is sent to and stored at a Google server in the U.S.A. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities for website operators and to provide other services related to website and internet activities. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser; however, if you do so, you may be unable to use all features of this website. By using our website you agree to the terms of these guidelines concerning the processing of the data collected about you by Google. You can withdraw permission to collect and store data for the future. We would like to clarify with regard to the discussion of the usage of analytical tools with complete IP addresses that this website uses Google Analystics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", so only shortened IP addresses are processed, which makes direct tracing to a single person impossible.

3. Information regarding the usage of Facebook plugins (Like button)

On our website, we integrate plugins from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. The Facebook plugins recognize you when you interact with the Facebook logo or the Like button on our page. An overview of the Facebook plugins is available here:  http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit our page, a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server is created. Facebook thus receives information that you visited our page with your IP address. If you click the Like button while you are logged into Facebook, you can link the contents of our page to your Facebook profile. That allows Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We explicitly note here that we, as the provider of the website, do not receive any kind of knowledge about the content or usage by Facebook of the data delivered. You can find additional information in the Facebook Privacy Policy here: http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not want Facebook to associate your visit to our page to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

4.  Information regarding the usage of Twitter

Twitter functions are embedded on our website. These functions are offered by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you use Twitter and the re-tweet function, the websites you visited are associated with your Twitter account and available to other users. Data is also transferred to Twitter.

We explicitly note here that we, as the provider of the website, do not receive any kind of knowledge about the content or usage by Twitter of the data delivered. You can find additional information in the Twitter Privacy Policy here: http://twitter.com/privacy.

You can change your privacy settings for Twitter in your account settings here: http://twitter.com/account/settings.

5. Cookies
On some of our websites we use so-called “session-cookies” to make the use of our websites easier. Cookies are small text files which are only temporarily stored on your hard disk for the duration of your visit of our website and deleted after the end of your browser session, depending on the settings of your browser. Cookies do not retrieve information stored on your hard disk and do not cause damage to your computer or your files. Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you can deactivate the storage of cookies or adjust your browser to inform you when cookies will be sent.

For data collection that is required for press accreditation for our events, SCC EVENTS retains the right to verify the provided data with the contractor/news agency/press association. The collected data (including digital press IDs) are deleted within six weeks after the event.

7. Change of this Privacy Policy

We will update these guidelines concerning the protection of your personal data from time to time. You should read these guidelines occasionally to be informed about how we constantly improve the protection of your data and the contents of our website. Should we make significant changes concerning the collection, use, or transmission of the person-related data provided by you, we will bring this to your attention by an obvious and well visible remark on our website.
