Kenyans chase fast times in the men’s race while Germany’s Sabrina Mockenhaupt is the women’s favourite
Sunday’s Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON will be the first major international road race in Germany this year. A record number of 21,679 runners from 85 nations have entered the race. Adding other events the figure will rise to more than 25,000. 150,000 spectators are expected to line the flat city loop course this Sunday.
Wilson Kipsang Kiprotich and Sabrina Mockenhaupt head the field of top contenders at the Vattenfall BERLINER HALFMARATHON next Sunday (Start: 10.45 a.m.). Wilson Kipsang Kiprotich finished sixth in last year´s race with 61:03 clearly behind winner and fellow countryman from Kenya, Patrich Makau Musyoki. Since then the Kipsang Kiprotich improved by more than two minutes and returns to the Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON as the favourite.
