Program at the marathon home stretch

 Show, sport and fun set the tone of the supporting program at the home stretch from the BMW BERLIN MARATHON Inlineskating at the Brandenburger Gate. The admission is free and the stands have good visibility.

•     11:30 a.m. Kids Skating
•     12:50 p.m. Open German Championschips 100 m Sprint (invitational race)

The Open German Championships 100m Sprint is open to women and men as well as juniors. Skaters can qualify for the semi-finals via preliminary heat, before the championship title is up for grabs in the final. Admission is free.

While the fastest marathon skaters reach the finish line after about an hour, they only need about ten seconds for this race. And that means: Every single step has to be perfect, the smallest mistake determines victory or defeat on the short distance. The competition has been held as part of the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON since 2017, but recently was cancelled due to COVID. This year, the sprint experts will finally return to the spectacular backdrop of the Brandenburg Gate.
