Frederick Cherono (2:08:38) from Kenya and Helena Javornik (2:31:13) from
Slovenia took the men’s and women’s honours respectively at
today’s Turin Marathon.
Cherono, already known in Italy after last year’s Rome Marathon, set
his new personal best (PB) in 2:08:38 and beat the italian Alberico Di Cecco,
second in 2:09:29. The womens race was won by Helena Javornik (Slovenia) in
2:31:13.
