A constantly emerging question of our participants and spectators is the question of the importance of the sponsors. They make the event more professional and without sponsors such big events like the BMW BERLIN MARATHON wouldn’t be able to exist nowadays.
Three staff members, supported by two others, who work only partially in marketing department, are busy throughout the year to support the sponsors, to attract new sponsors and work out sponsorship packages. They prepare the contracts and in particular look after the implementation of contractual terms. The sponsorship packages are individually tailored to suit the needs and desires of the sponsors. How does the sponsor, for example, wants to use the media, do they want to appear in the newsletters, or even in a TV report? Are special promotions or charity events something the sponsor desires and how does the sponsor be present at the Expo BERLIN VITAL?
When we search for new sponsors, we are mainly interested in benefits for our participants and in keeping the high quality of the event and to have the registration fee as constant as possible.
BMW offers many activities for children, such as a Baby Racer course or a Carrera track at Hotspots along the course. You can also order a personalized magnetic sign with your running time at the BMW booth or have a personalized photo montage of the cover image of the Runner's World Magazine.
PowerBar sponsors for example bars, gels and sports drinks, Erdinger offers free isotonic Erdinger Non-Alcoholic beer, AOK offers a foot passport and free running training, adidas sponsors the thermal foils that are handed out at the finish and TCS developed the BMW BERLIN MARATHON App.
