Countdown: Day 24 - The shuttle service

The shuttle service gets the BMW BERLIN MARATHON rolling. The shuttle service is for more responsible than just the transportation of athletes and VIPs. A week before the race the work starts.  Some of the volunteers have been around for 20 years and thereby form a committed team. 35 drivers and cars are moving through Berlin with different tasks.

Besides the normal shuttle rides and taxi services, also city tours and sightseeing along the course with athletes, coaches and journalists are on the schedule. In addition, the shuttle service is used to monitor the course signs and replace them, if necessary. Furthermore, the shuttle service is also used for the elite vehicles to ensure that the course is free of spectators.
