The next meeting of Council is in Paris next Wednesday and Thursday (3-4
July.)
Eight candidates have expressed an interest in being part of the Golden
League for this period - the six incumbent members Berlin, Brussels, Oslo,
Paris, Rome and Zurich - as well as London and Stockholm.
The Working Group will also recommend to Council that the decision about
which six will be selected should be taken at the end of the season, during the
IAAF Grand Prix Final in Paris on 14 September. This will permit a final
“Quality Control” review of each meeting during the 2002 season,
before a commitment is made for the next three year period.
