”Distance Running“ and the AIMS races worldwide

AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Road Races), the association the world’s largest race organisers, and the IAAF (International Athletics Association) publish the races organized by their members three times a year in the magazine “Distance Running".

200 races in 70 countries

In the latest edition for January-March 2005 (circulation 400,000), the dates for races until March 2006 are listed. AIMS now represents over 200 races in 70 countries on every continent.

On 90 pages, the largest races in the world also advertise for their events. The real,- BERLIN MARATHON and the Bewag BERLIN HALF MARATHON are represented as always with a full-page ad. For marathon freaks, the pages full of colourful ads will make their mouths water in anticipation of the interesting worldwide running adventures.

Quarterly in 2005

The latest edition of "Distance Running" appears with a cover photo from the Chicago Marathon. Starting this year, Distance Running will be published quarterly.

Mutare Marathon im Zimbabwe

The results of races around the world are illustrated with current photos, and there are also reports from completely unfamiliar races like the Great Ethiopian Run in Addis Ababa, the Half Marathon in Rio de Janeiro or the African University Peace Marathon in Mutare in Zimbabwe, as well as from the ultra scene.

The current rankings of fastest times for the 10 km, the half marathon and the marathon are also included, as well as the addresses and contact persons for the individual races in the diverse countries.

Free of charge at the BERLIN HALF MARATHON

Limited copies of Distance Running are distributed free of charge at the AIMS member races. It will also be distributed to the runners with their race materials at the 25th Berlin Half Marathon on April 3 at the BERLIN VITAL (Spring) fair.
