The preparations for the 40th BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inline Skating on 28th September are running at full speed. In almost six weeks 7000 skaters will be expected in the German capital to capture the city on wheels

Strength and endurance are of little use if you are not able to convert them into forward motion. The most important power package is called technique. And that’s why we are delighted to welcome again three pro skaters leading the popular clinics one day before the marathon classic at the BERLIN VITAL expo’s airfield.
Good news for all marathon fans! First of all, there are still race numbers left for the biggest marathon event in the word: The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inline Skating. Moreover, we just extended the closing date. Up to the 25th August you can still save your race number! After it, there will be definitely no possibility for a late registration.
Red Square and Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow will set the stage as Olympic and World Championships gold medalists and World Marathon Majors (WMM) champions compete in the 2013 IAAF World Championships Marathon. The course will start and finish at Luzhniki Stadium, the site of the 1980 Olympic Games. Comprised of one loop of 7.5 kilometers and three loops of 10 kilometers, the course runs through the city center, passing many of Moscow’s famous landmarks.
On July 27 it’s time again for Berlin’s fastest night on wheels. Enjoy the unique flair in front of 50,000 spectators along the Kurfürstendamm – one of the Republic’s most popular shopping areas.
Late registration for inline skaters will be possible only on Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 at the race number pick-up (Karstadt sports, Joachimstaler Straße 5-6, 10623 Berlin) if the participation limit has not been reached.

Julien Levrard and Katharina Rumpus are the winners of the 33rd Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON Inline Skating. Quite fitting to the motto “The best start into spring”, the 1,902 skaters were not only greeted by about 200,000 spectators, but by a bright sunny day as well.

World Marathon Majors (WMM) members Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York have collectively revised their elite athlete contracts to include stricter anti-doping penalties. New provisions will include the right for the events to suspend payment and to demand repayment of prize money, appearances fees, and performance bonuses for any athlete found in violation of a criminal offense involving drugs, anti-doping rules, or if for any other reason the athlete's result has been nullified...

At the Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON on April 7, Germany's largest inline skating series, the GERMAN INLINE CUP, will start into its sixth season.
